Release notes for SimSpace Platform version 6.36

Portal new features and enhancements

    • SCP changes now trigger re-sync of learning paths and circuits: When you modify a structured content plan (SCP), Portal now queues all associated learning paths and circuits for re-sync so UKI receives the latest SCP data. Previously, changes to an SCP were not propagated to the learning paths and circuits that contained it. (PRTL-5356, PRTL-5357)
    • Contact Support now opens your email client: The Contact Support link in Portal now opens an email to [email protected] instead of the previous Freshdesk feedback form. (PRTL-5421)
    • Documentation is now versioned: Documentation is now versioned, so you can select the version of documentation that coincides with your Portal versions 6.35 and higher.

Portal fixes

    • Security update: portal-suite front-end dependency vulnerabilities resolved: Security scans identified multiple high- and critical-severity common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) in front-end JavaScript dependencies used by portal-suite. This release upgrades affected packages—including @babel/traverse, immer, handlebars, minimist, shell-quote, loader-utils, webpack, jsdom, http-proxy-middleware, ua-parser-js, form-data, gevent, node-fetch, ip, path-to-regexp, lodash, and others—to patched versions. These changes reduce exposure to prototype pollution, code injection, regular expression denial of service, cross-site scripting, and request forgery vulnerabilities. (PRTL-5377, PRTL-5378, PRTL-5379, PRTL-5381, PRTL-5382, PRTL-5383, PRTL-5384, PRTL-5396, PRTL-5428, PRTL-5429, PRTL-5430, PRTL-5431, PRTL-5432, PRTL-5433, PRTL-5434, PRTL-5447, PRTL-5448, PRTL-5450, PRTL-5474)
    • Security update: portal-server and azul-job image CVEs resolved (CVE-2026-32280, CVE-2026-32282): A security scan found high-severity CVEs affecting the simspace/azul-job and simspace/portal-server images. This release upgrades the affected kubectl dependency to a patched version, removing these vulnerabilities from both images. (PRTL-5416)
    • Resource reservations chart now displays dates correctly: The resource reservations chart displayed date and time values inconsistently. The chart now shows accurate reservation dates and times. (PRTL-5308)

Other changes to Portal

    • Rapid Range removed from Portal: Portal no longer shows navigation entries, browse pages, or detail pages for Rapid Range. Cyber Key Terrain (CKT) and event overlay terrain features are not affected by this change. (PRTL-5373)
    • WalkMe removed from Portal: The WalkMe package, which was no longer in use, has been removed from Portal’s deployment configuration. (PRTL-5374)
